Hopefully romantic,
Playfully complicated,
Imaginatively curious

Elizabeth Finlayson (she/they) is a theater artist, actor, educator, and playwright, completing a BFA in Contemporary Theater at Boston Conservatory. She also crafts, designs puppets, costumes, and choreographs stage combat, and looks at life with an overall positive and whimsical disposition. With art that explores queer joy, femininity, beauty, love, and bravery, drawing inspiration from the mythical, fantastical, and historical, they strive to make theatre that uplifts, educates, and entertains all.

Writing
As a writer, I find inspiration for my plays and poetry through the mythical, historical, and fantastical. Whether that is a devised, interdisciplinary play of Greek myths, or a TYA show about a fairytale princess, I love to reexamine past stories, concepts, and ideas for a new audience. I especially enjoy writing stories about queer, femme characters, who I believe are greatly underrepresented in theater, especially in TYA shows.
